Event Recap: Valentine’s Day at Baterbys

On Valentine’s Day there’s nothing more ideal than a candle-lit art gallery filled with beautiful artwork.

It was a very romantic weekend here at Baterbys Art Gallery. One only needs to see the splendid event from the photographs of the night of our Baterbys Valentine’s Day exhibition to feel the passion and excitement of last Friday night.

The evening’s itinerary included a candle-lit reception, a couples or singles Scavenger Hunt, art related raffle prizes, delicate wine, and an array sweet treats that included chocolate covered strawberries, cookies, and cupcakes.The wine bar

The beautifully curated gallery exhibited idyllic Romantic artwork by artists from all over the world, as well as original hand signed etchings by world renowned Masters such as Henri Matisse, Salvador Dali, and Pablo Picasso. Baterbys’ art collection includes a wide variety of mediums ranging from hand signed and numbered lithographs, giclee on paper or canvas, hand colored etchings and lithographs, to one of a kind originals. We can guarantee that there is something for everyone.

The gallery walls were covered in Romantic/ love inspired art. That night only we featured a 20% off discount on all artwork. Raffle tickets were given to the guests who RSVP. Raffle prizes included stunning framed prints, bouquets of roses, and cell phone cases designed by Soco Freire.

10% of the proceeds from the night were donated to The Assistance Fund. The Assistance Fund is an organization that raises money for children and adults who are chronically or critically ill to have access to health care.

Up and coming Baterbys Art Gallery events include

 Saturday April 12 from 12 to 3PM- Master of the Month: Henri Matisse

  • This event will celebrate artist Henri Matisse with a short book reading, paper cutout activity, and documentary viewing.

Friday, May 9 from 6 to 9 PM- Summertime and the Living’s Artsy

  • This event will feature a live painting by Robin Pedrero, alongside Baterbys’ Summer art collection, including landscapes, Florida art, and more!

Friday, June 20 from 12 to 9 PM Baterbys Local Artist Competition

  •  During this competition, guests will vote on the winner who will be awarded the opportunity to display their artwork at Baterbys Art Gallery for one month!
