About the Art
This is a hand embellished giclee on canvas by Italian artist Pino. Pino Daeni was an Italian American book illustrator and artist. Trained in Italy at the Art Institute of Bari, and later at Milan’s Academy of Brera, he perfected his skills painting nudes and figures. He is known for his intimate interior scenes of women and the ability to capture the movements and expressions of his subjects so beautifully. Using soft pastel colors and loose but accurate brushwork, he captures the tenderness of a moment.
Depicted in this piece is a mother and her two children sharing a loving moment. The primarily warm colors in this painting evoke a feeling of love while the small pops of blue and green add a nice contrast to the piece. The soft and tender moment almost seems to directly mirror Pino’s soft brushstrokes, that and the title evokes the feeling of a soft and faded memory that you refuse to forget.
