About the Art
This is a original mixed media on canvas by Russian-born artist Elena Bond. She is known for her vibrant, energetic paintings that bring Impressionism into modernity, pushing the Impressionist movement to the verge of abstraction. She began drawing at a very early age and attended her first art school at 11 where she decided this is all she wanted to do with her life. She portrays the dynamism of a city cafe in this colorful work. The blue colors of the chairs creates a nice contrast with the primarily warm colored piece while also drawing the viewers attention to the center of the painting.
