About the Art
This is an original giclee on paper work by the Italian artist known as Pino. Pino Daeni was an Italian American book illustrator and artist. Trained in Italy at the Art Institute of Bari, and later at Milan’s Academy of Brera, he perfected his skills painting nudes and figures. He is known for his intimate interior scenes of women and the ability to capture the movements and expressions of his subjects so beautifully. Using soft pastel colors and loose but accurate brushwork, he captures the tenderness of a moment.
Depicted in this piece are some dancers and musicians. The brightness of her skirt and their shirts contrast nicely with the dark background and make the dancers the main focal point. Pino’s skill with a brush gives the dancers so much movement and life.
