About the Art
This is a hand-embellished giclee on canvas by highly-collected Franco-American artist, Duaiv. With a penchant for juxtaposing images of various well-known locations into one image, the artist skillfully plays with the viewer’s mind into doubting his memory of the actual location versus what he is seeing on canvas. So for a seasoned traveler, or even a local Parisian viewing Duaiv’s interpretation of this famous French restaurant, he or she would ask, “When were the red awnings on the second floor installed!”
Trained both in art and music since his early childhood, Duaiv has since been dividing his time with creating Impressionist-style pieces and daily practice with his cello. While his artful creations are highly appreciated and collected worldwide, he is also a seasoned concert cellist who has performed with major French and international orchestras.
