About the Art

This is a limited edition hand-embellished giclee on canvas by Russian-born artist Elena Bond. She began drawing at a very early age and attended her first art school at 11 where she decided this is all she wanted to do with her life. She is known for her vibrant, energetic paintings that bring Impressionism into modernity, pushing the Impressionist movement to the verge of abstraction. She portrays the dynamism of New York City in this colorful work. The bright and vivid colors of the buildings contrast beautifully against the light blue sky and darker pavement. The soft blur of the cars and people almost seem to mirror the blur of bustling New York City.
